Ministries

The Feast of Love Holiday Dinners provide a free hot meal and love on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Everyone is welcome to come and share a table and fellowship. The meals are served from 12:00 – 2:30 at College Hill Presbyterian Church; 5742 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224. The generosity of groups and individuals make it possible to deliver food to shelters and serving locations in the inner city and urban areas of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Tools for Schools collects and sends supplies to local schools where students have family incomes below the poverty level. Items are distributed by teachers and are available, free of charge, to children who would not have the necessary tools to learn without such a ministry.

Tools for Teachers is a grant program designed to give back to area teachers. Teachers may apply for a onetime $250.00 grant to assist them in their classrooms.

Camp S'More is an overnight camp experience giving urban children living in poverty the opportunity for fun and enjoyment of nature. The children fish, go on a nature hike, play games, eat lots of good food, sing silly songs around the campfire and best of all make and eat s'mores!

Find a Need and Fill It is the largest ministry of Feast of Love, operating 52 weeks a year. Many low-income families have little to no furniture, with children often sleeping on the floor. We work with area churches and agencies to provide necessary household items to people in need.

Work in Progress Feast of Love will begin a puppet ministry in 2014. This ministry will go into area schools with a free program designed to teach the children about issues such as self-esteem, bullying and making good choices.

Sleeping Sound is a new program in which Feast of Love is partnering with The Cincinnati Police Department.  This program is specifically designed for children living in poverty to obtain their own bed. There are many children, in the Cincinnati area, sleeping on the floor.  We believe these children will perform and have better behavior in school with a good night's sleep. This program will work in conjunction with the Principals of Cincinnati area schools where students have family incomes below the poverty level.  The Principals and school staff will identify a child/children in need of a bed and The Cincinnati Police Department will deliver the bed/beds.  The total cost for a hotel quality mattress and box spring with a bed bug encasement and sheets is $275.00 per bed.  Please consider making a donation at www.gofundme.com/sleepingsound and sleep soundly, knowing you made a difference in the life of a child.
